We’re all in this together… again.

At D23 Expo, it was announced that High School Musical: The Musical: The Series would be returning for a very meta fourth season. Not only would the East High students return to the school after camp to put on a stage production of High School Musical 3: Senior Year, but some very famous alumni would be returning to the hallowed halls for another film. That’s right, the Wildcats would be finding out that the cast of the original High School Musical films would be returning to film High School Musical 4: The Reunion at their school — and they get to be extras!

Now who is exactly returning has been revealed — Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel, Bart Johnson, Alyson Reed, and KayCee Stroh. They’ll be playing themselves and reprising the roles they made famous 16 years ago.

The OG cast will be joining series regulars Joshua Bassett, Sofia Wylie, Dara Reneé, Julia Lester, Frankie Rodriguez, and Kate Reinders, with Shallow Lake camper Emmy played by Liamani Segura headed to East High and being upped to a series regular role.

Recurring guest stars for the fourth season include Kylie Cantrall as social media star Dani, Matthew Sato as sitcom actor Mack, Caitlin Reilly as indie film director Quinn, and Vasthy Mompoint as choreographer Krystal.

The season will also feature songs from the High School Musical franchise, as well as original songs, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for some surprises.

While a date for season 4 hasn’t been announced yet, you can watch seasons 1 to 3 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series streaming on Disney+.
