Apple TV+ Revives The Iconic Fraggles In Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock
The Fraggles are back!
Following the success of Apple TV+’s Fraggle Rock: Rock On! shorts, the beloved 1983 classic Fraggle Rock has been rebooted for 13-episodes on the streaming platform. Now titled Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock, the series brings Jim Henson’s fun-loving and musical Fraggles to a new generation.
While the show remains faithful to the original show, we get introduced to new Fraggles and Doozers voiced by special guest stars Patti LaBelle, Cynthia Erivo, Daveed Diggs, Ed Helms, and Kenan Thompson — plus an appearance by Foo Fighters!
In an exclusive first look at Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock, we see actors and puppeteers come together to talk about the new reboot. “Being able to acknowledge the legacy that came before us and contribute to the future legacy is pretty monumental,” said voice actor Dan Garza.
Actor Jordan Lockhart touched upon how timeless Fraggle Rock’s message is: “Fraggle Rock was kinda bold and fearless. It touched on some pretty heavy things some times, and we're not shying away from those at all. That's one way that I think we're honoring Jim's vision.”
