Curing Anxiety Becomes Dangerous In The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Trailer

From Emmy Award-winning creator Cirocco Dunlap comes The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy, a new animated adult comedy that follows Dr. Sleech and Dr. Klak as aliens, besties, and intergalactically renowned surgeons.

The trailer, set in the year 4002, shows the duo as they tackle things such as anxiety-eating parasites, illegal time loops, and deep-space STIs. When they take on a case to cure anxiety, it becomes so groundbreaking that existence itself is in jeopardy! Giant parasites, flying creatures, adult humor, and all things science entail.

“While this show is funny and absurd, a sci-fi hospital is also a natural place to explore deeper emotional themes like mental illness [and] chosen and rejected family,” said Dunlap about the series. “Mental illness, untimely death, and short legs run in my family, and you’ll find all of these at play throughout the first season. Additionally, you’ll watch extremely driven characters who are passionate about their careers as they try (and fail, and try, and fail) to love each other. I hope they offer some warmth, comfort, and laughter in the face of life’s greatest joke: the ever-present nearness of death.”

Season one will feature the voices of series regulars Maya Rudolph, Natasha Lyonne, Keke PalmerStephanie Hsu, Kieran Culkin, and Sam Smith. Guest stars include Tracee Ellis Ross, Bowen Yang, Abbi Jacobson, Jay Ellis, Andrew Dismukes, Lennon Parham, Gary Anthony Williams, and John Waters.

You can also stay tuned for a Culkin family reunion when Kieran Culkin, who voices Plowp, is joined by his real-life brothers Macaulay Culkin, Rory Culkin, Christian Culkin, and Shane Culkin.

The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy premieres February 23 on Prime Video.
