Colman Domingo Sparks An Inspiring Journey To Redemption in Sing Sing Trailer

Based on a true story, Sing Sing follows the arts rehabilitation program that was founded at the Sing Sing Correctional Facility. The film details the lives of a group of incarcerated actors who work on a play as a part of a workshop at the prison.

In the trailer, we see Divine G (Colman Domingo) in his clemency hearing discussing how the theater program helps not only him, but his prison mates, get more in touch with their feelings and provides rehabilitation. The group opens up to one another and become more vulnerable while also gaining confidence in themselves. This is a story of hope and redemption through the power of community. Best said in the trailer, “We’re here to become human again.”

Fresh off a historic Oscar nomination for best actor for his performance in Rustin, Colman Domingo stars in and executive produces Sing Sing. The A24 film is set to premiere at this year’s SXSW Film Festival, followed by a theatrical release in July.
