With such a large catalog of content, the streamer has a vast array of book adaptations, with many of them being their top shows and movies. Little Fires Everywhere follows a mother and daughter who uproot their lives to Shaker Heights, Ohio as they quickly intertwine with the Richardson family. The award-winning limited series starring Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington is based on the book of the same name by Celeste Ng. 


Big Little Lies

Based on the best selling novel by Liane Moriarty, Big Little Lies weaves a dark tale of murder and mischief in a tranquil beachfront town. Behind the mirage of perfect families exists a community fueled by rumors and lies. 


Nine Perfect Strangers

A group of nine strangers travel to a boutique health and wellness resort that promises healing and transformation. Each person has something to work on, but will the resort director really help them heal? The limited series is based on the New York Times best-selling novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty. 


Normal People

Normal People follows Connell and Marianne, students from the same town in Ireland but different backgrounds as they weave in and out of each other’s romantic lives and they grow up. This limited series comes from the novel of the same name by Sally Rooney.


Conversations with Friends

Also from the world of Sally Rooney. Conversations with Friends was adapted into a limited series. Frances and Bobbi, two college best friends, meet a famous writer, Melissa, and her husband. As their friendship grows, Frances finds herself drawn to Nick, Melissa’s husband. 


Love, Simon

Love, Simon is based on Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda written by Becky Albertalli. The movie follows Simon (Nick Robinson), a 17 year old who hasn’t told his friends or family that he’s gay. He falls for an anonymous classmate who he speaks to online. 


Love, Victor

Though Love, Victor isn’t directly adapted from a book, the series is from the same world as Love, Simon. It follows Victor (Michael Cimino) as he navigates his own journey of self discovery, reaching out to Simon for advice when he needs it. 


Tiny Beautiful Things

Tiny Beautiful Things is a miniseries based on the book of the same name by Cheryl Strayed. The series follows Kathryn Hahn as a woman who reluctantly takes an unpaid position with an advice column called Sugar. She is unsure of herself at first, but then finds a way to use her life experiences to help others. 


The Handmaid’s Tale

The award-winning series is based on the novel of the same name by Margaret Atwood. It’s set in a futuristic dystopian world based on Puritan values and patriarchy. 


Looking For Alaska

Looking for Alaska is a limited series that follows Miles, who enrolls in a boarding school where he gains a group of loyal friends and falls in love with Alaska Young. When tragedy strikes, the group tries to make sense of what they’ve been through. The series is based on the novel of the same name by John Green. 


Saint X

Saint X is based on the book of the same name by Alexis Schaitkin. The series follows a girl who goes missing on a family holiday in the Caribbean while unpacking timely issues about grief, white privilege, and current culture. 


Will Trent

Will Trent is based on the book series of the same name by Karin Slaughter. The series follows Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations. The abandoned foster care child is determined to use his experiences to make a difference. 


Great Expectations

Based on the novel by Charles Dickens, Great Expectations follows an orphan named Pip through his blacksmith’s apprentice in a country village while suddenly coming into a large fortune. 


Shrill

The three season comedy series, Shrill is based on the non-fiction book by Lindy West. The series is led by Saturday Night Live’s Aidy Bryant who’s character wants to change her life. While juggling bad boyfriends, sick parents, and a perfectionist boss, she tries to make it as a journalist while the world around her deems her not good enough due to her weight. 


High Fidelity

High Fidelity is based on the novel of the same name by Nick Hornby. The book was first adapted into a movie and then a Broadway musical before the 2020 TV series. The series follows Rob (Zoë Kravitz), a pop music aficionado who runs a failing record store. 


Pride and Prejudice

Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice has been adapted multiple times. The 1995 mini-series is available to stream on Hulu. The series follows Elizabeth Bennet who learns about the repercussions of hasty judgements and comes to understand the difference between superficial and actual goodness. 


Younger

The seven season series Younger was adapted from the novel by Pamela Redmond. The series follows a 40-year old woman, Liza (Sutton Foster), a suddenly single mother who tries to make her way back into the working world. 


Castle Rock

Castle Rock is a two season series that was not directly adapted from a book, but from the world of Stephen King’s interconnected short stories and novels. The series follows Henry Deaver who became a death row defense attorney after being blamed for his adoptive father’s mysterious death. 


Light As A Feather

The two season thriller series is based on Light As A Feather by Zoe Aarsen. The series follows four best friends who invite the shy new girl out on Halloween, only to regret their decision when an innocent game goes awry. 


Shadowhunters

The three season fantasy series was adapted from The Mortal Instruments book series written by Cassandra Clare. The series follows Clary Fray who discovers that she is not who she thinks she is, learning that she comes from a long line of human-angel hybrids called Shadowhunters.
