New York City Is Freezing Over In Ghostbuster: Frozen Empire Trailer

The gang has returned in the new Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire trailer with Walter Peck (William Atherton), who, after 40 years, is still trying to shut them down. But it seems the city will have a much bigger problem on its way — and who do you call when there’s something strange and weird? The Ghostbusters!

Bringing back the old firehouse, the new generation of Ghostbusters — Gary Grooberson (Paul Rudd), Callie Spengler (Carrie Coon), Trevor Spengler (Finn Wolfhard), and Phoebe Spengler (McKenna Grace) — are back to old tricks. However, the discovery of an ancient artifact releases a threat like none other. It’s the return of the ice age, but this time the team is fighting against a monster so dangerous it has the power to scare you to death! I mean, if that’s not a threat, what is? And oh, this ghost comes with its very own army. With ice spikes striking through as the city freezes over, this might be just the bust the team needs to save their organization.

Leaning into the nostalgia, we see the return of Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Janine Melnitz (Annie Potts), and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) as they team up with the new generation. We are also gearing up to see the return of Slimer and smaller versions of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

Do you suspect more familiar ghosts will pop up in this new army? Find out when Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire releases in theaters on March 22.
