All American Is Back With A Season 6 Trailer
We were hooked from the start of The CW hit All American, watching as Spencer James (Daniel Ezra) navigated his newfound life in the glamour of Beverly Hills against the steadfast loyalty he held for his Crenshaw roots. Now five seasons later, we have seen him build a blended life that ultimately came with a lot of benefits and happiness but also a lot of heartache and trauma.
We closed season 5 with Asher (Cody Christian) and Jaymee (Miya Horcher) revealing they are having a baby boy. Jaymee was a bit frantic in the last episode after JJ (Hunter Clowdus) found a velvet box with a ring that they assumed was Asher’s. When it was revealed it wasn’t his, they both shared they don’t need a marriage to solidify their relationship. However, that still begged the question: which one of our Vortex men bought a ring? Jordan (Michael Evans Behling) is secretly a hopeless romantic, so it was a bit obvious he’d be the one to propose.
Meanwhile, Spencer and Olivia (Samantha Logan) surrendered to the undeniable pull of their feelings. Spencer dashed to the airport in a whirlwind of romance and cheese, finally declaring her as his one true love. And Olivia reciprocated, confessing her love for him too. Despite our joy for these Vortex couples, Patience's (Chelsea Tavares) luck took a turn for the worse. Coop (Bre-Z) was on her way to express her longing for Patience but before she could arrive Miko, Patience’s stalker, emerged, plunging a knife into Patience's stomach. We were left with so many questions about the fate of these characters.
In the new trailer release, we don’t get any answers about the whereabouts of Patience, but we do see a shift in the characters. They are adults now, and just like any young adult, they are figuring out who they are. Olivia is claiming she isn’t the girl she was when she left, implying that the relationship between her and Spencer may not be able to recover from this change. Spencer is finally getting closer to the NFL, which is causing a rift between him and Jordan. These boys are always competing, but this is for the big leagues. Can their brother bond handle this challenge? Asher's baby is finally here, and it’s no surprise the baby has plenty of aunties and uncles, but what does this mean for Asher? We even get a glimpse into some possible Jordan and Layla (Greta Onieogou) drama now that she has a new hot partner, and Olivia is not afraid to tease Jordan about it.
All American returns for season 6 on April 1.
