A Successful Realtor Is Brought Back To A Life Of Danger In Love Hurts Trailer

Ke Huay Quan gets an unexpected surprise on Valentine’s Day in Love Hurts

The trailer shows Marvin Gable becoming a successful realtor in the Milwaukee suburbs. But his cushy life gets disrupted when he receives a Valentine’s Day card with “Hiding ain’t living” written inside — a line he once told his former partner-in-crime Rose (Ariana DeBose).

One day, he’s bombarded by his brother Knuckles’ (Daniel Wu) workers who’ve been looking for Marvin in search of both Rose and money. A pulsating action scene occurs where Marvin gets to show off that he’s still got it. Then, we finally see Rose who wards off the last criminal and informs Marvin that she needs his old self back if they both want to stop his crime lord brother. The trailer is filled with subtle humor and high-octane action that give off a John Wick vibe from the fights to the jumps.

Marshawn Lynch, Mustafa Shakir, Lio Tipton, Rhys Darby, André Eriksen, and Sean Astin round out the cast.

See Quan lead his first action film when Love Hurts premieres February 7 in theaters.
