The trailer for the new animated series Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld follows Chinese-American teen Jentry Chau (Ali Wong) living in her small Texas town. We’re shown her awkwardness in trying to fit in with the rest of her high school — but her supernatural powers hold her back, especially her fiery hands.
Soundtracked by new single “Flame” by KATSEYE (available on all platforms now!), Chau is desperate to have a normal high school experience yet is quickly thrust into fighting an entire underworld’s worth of monsters when a demon king is hunting her down for her powers. From ghost cowboys to giant creatures, she’ll need the help of her weapons expert great-aunt and a millennia-old vampire to defeat these monstrous entities while grappling with a new romance and all things high school. Bowen Yang, Lori Tan Chinn, Lucy Liu, Jimmy O. Yang, Sheng Wang, Woosung Kim, and A.J. Beckles round out the cast.
