Nick and Charlie’s Story Will Wrap Up With A Heartstopper Movie On Netflix
Say “hello” to Charlie and Nick one last time!
Netflix has announced that, after three seasons, fan favorite series Heartstopper will conclude with a feature film based on Alice Oseman’s upcoming sixth and final graphic novel. Actors Kit Connor and Joe Locke were relative unknowns before Heartstopper and have blown up to superstar status thanks to the popularity of the series. Both will also take on new roles as executive producers of the film.
The movie will follow the challenges of a long-distance relationship as Nick prepares for university and Charlie finds independence at school. We’ll also see their friends navigating the ups and downs of love, friendship, growing up, and moving on. The film will ask the question: can first loves really last forever?
In a statement, Oseman expressed her gratitude to be able to complete the story of Charlie and Nick on her own terms: “I am completely overjoyed that we will get to tell the end of the Heartstopper story. I’m so grateful to everyone who has worked hard to make this possible and to the incredible fans of Heartstopper for your patience and passion. I cannot wait to bring this story to a magical conclusion."
While we wait for production to begin this summer, you can watch the first three seasons of Heartstopper streaming on Netflix.
