Heathers: The Musical Is Heading To The Roku Channel In September

Step into their candy store…

Roku will exclusively bring a live capture of the stage adaptation of the hit West End musical Heathers: The Musical to The Roku Channel.

Based on one of the greatest cult teen films of all time, Heathers: The Musical was filmed at The Other Palace, where it started its UK journey in 2018. The musical brings us to Westerberg High where Veronica Sawyer is just another one of the nobodies dreaming of a better day. But when she’s unexpectedly taken under the wings of the three beautiful and impossibly cruel Heathers, her dreams of popularity finally start to come true. Until JD shows up – the mysterious teen rebel who teaches her that everyone fears being a nobody, but its murder being a somebody...

“We are committed to finding a variety of great ways to bring premium programming to our audience, and there’s nothing like the thrill of a live performance. That’s why we can’t wait for viewers to experience the sights and sounds of Heathers: The Musical,” said David Eilenberg of Head of Originals at Roku, with Apfelbaum and Tuckfield, the Executive Vice Presidents of Feature Film at Village Roadshow, saying: “The story of Heathers has continued to infatuate fans for decades, and we have no doubt that audiences will be utterly delighted by this live adaptation.”

Ailsa Davidson, Simon Gordon, Maddison Firth, Vivian Panka, Teleri Hughes, Mhairi Angus, Liam Doyle, and Rory Phelan lead the pro-shot musical.

The Roku Original special will be available to stream on Friday, September 16 on The Roku Channel in the US.
