Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick Reunite In Another Simple Favor Teaser

The women are back for round two in the long-awaited sequel to A Simple Favor. Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick return as best frenemies and the teaser sheds light on where these women have been for the past six years. It looks like the ladies are going to the chapel and someone’s going to get married — or maybe murdered?

Now a bestselling author, Stephanie Smothers is shocked when Emily Nelson crashes her book event. Especially when, instead of killing her, she asks Stephanie to be her Maid of Honor. Would I ask the woman who ruined my life, stole my husband, and sent me to federal prison to be my Maid of Honor? Probably not. However, some members of Stephanie’s mom squad think Emily has truly changed. I wouldn’t be too sure.

The women embark on a beautiful getaway to Italy where Emily plans to marry an extravagant, rich Italian business mogul, played by Michele Morrone. To make matters even more awkward, Emily’s estranged ex-husband, who Stephanie had an affair with, is also returning for the sequel. Henry Golding will reprise his role as Sean. Allison Janney also makes a brief appearance in the trailer and I hope she’s there to stir the pot for the leading ladies.

Lively’s Emily is perfectly wicked and clearly out for revenge against Stephanie, and I can’t wait to see what her motive for inviting Stephanie to the wedding truly is. The trailer sets up so many twists and questions that promise to make this sequel a blast to watch when it hits theaters.

Another Simple Favor will make its world premiere at SXSW in Austin, Texas this March. It will officially hit theaters May 1 and will also be available to rent or buy on Prime Video.
