Janelle Monáe and Missy Elliot Join Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry Musical 

Pharrell Williams is taking inspiration from his childhood neighborhood and turning it into a musical project with director Michel Gondry and a stacked cast. 

The coming-of-age musical will be set in the summer of 1977 in Virginia Beach. The musical has a talented cast including Kelvin Harrison Jr, Halle Bailey, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Brian Tyree Henry with the recent additions of Janelle Monáe and Missy Elliot.


Eminem Announces New Album 

Slim Shady is back… or is he? Eminem’s new album The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace) drops this summer! 

Shortly after his appearance at the NFL draft, Eminem dropped a trailer announcing the news where a crime reporter is recalling his alter ego’s death. This upcoming album marks the rapper’s 12th studio album and the first in four years since the release of Music To Be Murdered By.


Emily Osment Releases New Single 

We all know Emily Osment from her Disney days on Hannah Montana. During her time filming the popular series, she released hits such as “Let’s Be Friends” and “I Don’t Think About It,” which created a loyal music fanbase. 

Osment has wrapped up filming for Young Sheldon and is preparing for the upcoming spin-off, but now she’s throwing herself into her other creative endeavor — her music. Under the new name Bluebiird, she released a single called “Porcelain Doll” that features Osment’s soft country vocals.

Young Miko Announces XOXO Tour 

Following the release of her debut album att, Young Miko will be going on tour! 

The Puerto Rican rapper announced on Instagram with a video of her carrying a pastel boombox through a graffiti filled alleyway. The XOXO Tour will kick off July in Colorado and end September in Florida. As she just finished her Coachella debut, she’s gaining a newfound stardom and we’re here for it!

Ramin Djawadi Honored With Icon Award At BMI Awards 

Ramin Djawadi, composer for popular TV show Game Of Thrones, is set to be honored on June 5 with the elusive Icon Award at the 40th BMI Film, TV, and Visual Media Awards. His work ranges from older shows such as Prison Break to newer series 3 Body Problem and Fallout

The event will be hosted by BMI President Tracy McKnight. “Ramin’s innovative compositions for films, TV shows, and video games have captivated audiences worldwide, exemplifying his remarkable range and talent,” McKnight stated in a press release. “His compelling themes and scores will continue to leave a lasting impression on future generations, highlighting his status as a BMI Icon.”
