Emily Carey Goes From Geek To Chic In Geek Girl Trailer

Based on the best-selling book by Holly Smale, the series Geek Girl follows awkward teen Harriet Manners (Emily Carey) as she desperately tries to fit in. 

The trailer shows a glimpse into Harriet’s life with her dinosaur obsession and the bullying she encounters. However, her life begins to change when a modeling agency has a short amount of time to scout “raw talent.” She does some trial shots and sooner she’s thrust into a world of glitz and glam. 

High heels, runways, couture — Harriet begins to feel that maybe she’s not cut out for the fashion world. But her unique look and a developing love interest with Nick Park (Liam Woodrum) assure her that she’s exactly what the fashion industry needs. Emmanuel Imani, Sarah Parish, Tim Downie, Daisy Jelley, Zac Looker, Rochelle Harrington, Jemima Rooper, and Sandra Yi Sencindiver round out the cast.

Geek Girl premieres May 30 on Netflix.
